So what do you get when you take Pear OS 8 based on Ubuntu Raring Ringtail and dirty-upgrade it to Saucy, then another dirty upgrade to Trusy Tahr then add Backbox PPA and install all the backbox tools (minus XFCE as Pear OS uses Gnome), then do another dirty upgrade to Vivid and another dirty-upgrade to Wily Werewolf?

You get Gnosis.

Seriously people... I took a distro based on Raring (Ubuntu 13.04) and upgraded it all the way to Wily Werewolf (Ubuntu 15.10) the long and dirty way.

So why give myself headaches like this?

Just wanted to see if it could be done.

I am really trying to get a fully functional touchscreen friendly pentest OS.

Black Dragon OS

Releasing very soon , Black-Dragon-OS 64bit based on Debian Wheezy.

Adding the MATE desktop gives it the good old classic interface and makes it easy and intuitive even for beginners.

we added a full arsenal of tools for almost every subject and field .

The most significant feature is the custom compiled Kernel ( 3.14.18-3 ) patched with the latest firmware and drivers for better performance and compatibility with the latest hardware.

at the moment Black-Dragon is only Live ISO , we are working on adding a graphical installer then it will be ready for the public .

Dark-Arch-Linux

The toolset is distributed as an Arch Linux unofficial user repository so you can install BlackArch Linux on top of an existing Arch Linux installation. Packages may be installed individually or by category. Currently there’s over 175 tools in this toolset with constant expansion of this the repository which will include over 200 tools very soon. All tools are thoroughly tested before added in order to maintain the quality of the repository.

So let's start:

Add the following to /etc/pacman.conf.

FAQ

Read before asking.

Q: How to install the distro?

A: 

1.Boot your dvd/usb and choose default.

2.Log in with password 1234

3.Install the distro from the Menu:  Menu ( M )->System->Settings Manager->Install Release .

P: Set up script problem: /usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of /cow.

A: You have to install the distro first, because it wants to update your grub. But it's nothing awfully and everything other will be set.

A: Install the distro from Menu->System->Settings Manager->Install Release.
